The Diocese of Kentucky was founded in 1829 and is comprised of thirty-eight congregations located in the Western half of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

The Diocesan Offices and Cathedral are located on 2nd Street in downtown Louisville. The Rt. Rev. Edwin F. (Ted) Gulick, Jr. has served as Bishop of the Diocese since his consecration in 1994.
