WELCOME TO
THE AL-MAHDI FAMILY
Thanks
to everyone for responding to our call to welcome our Palestinian refugee family
to Louisville! Sabah, Rafaat, Abdulmalik and Hanan Al-Mahdi are settling into
their new apartment well. They have started English classes and are learning
how to use the bus system to get around town. Rafaat and Hanan are still in
need of plus-size women’s coats, and Abdulmalik is hoping to find a used
hybrid bicycle that he can use for transportation (a cross between a mountain
bike and regular road bike.) If you have coats or a bicycle that you would like
to donate, or if you would like to volunteer to visit the family or drive them
to appointments, please contact parishioner Diana Church at diana@cesfoundation.com or 345-9719.
We are also searching for a “rabbit ear” TV antenna for their
television.
