refugee ministry

In 2001, St. Mark's, through United Crescent Hill Ministries, sponsored four "Lost boys of Sudan." St. Mark's provided financial assistance with rent, utilities, groceries, etc. for several months and welcomed these young men to our worship service. Prayer book in pew

Parishioners were generous in donating clothes and assisting the young men in "life skills" learning. At present St. Mark's in conjunction with two other Episcopal churches, is awaiting a Somalia Bantu family of seven. They are from Somalia and will be coming to Louisville in the near future.

St. Mark's will assist with housing, rent, utilities, groceries, transportation as well as befriending this family of seven.

Refugee Ministry is a crucial part of St. Mark's Outreach.
