stewardship

Stewardship is a spiritual discipline.

Each year (usually in October) the parish is canvassed and parishioners are asked to pledge of their time, talent, and treasure.  In addition to the annual "every member canvas," other opportunities are provided for stewardship.

For more information on stewardship at St. Mark's, contact the parish office.

St. Mark's asks that you think of stewardship as a spiritual discipline. Like prayer and the reading of scripture, stewardship is a religious devotion. Developing the good steward in you is a life long process.

The discipline of giving yourself away, through the gifting of your time, talents and your treasure, is an exercise in piety worth advancing and growing. One of the paradoxes of the gospel is that we are most alive when we give ourselves away.

Stewardship is a spiritual discipline that will aid in the development of your own personal faith, but it is also an exciting opportunity to engage in mission. When you make a pledge of your time, talent and treasure to St. Mark's, you are investing in the mission of the parish.

The mission of God is a winning cause, and the mission to which God has called St. Mark's is a winning cause. Your gifts of time, talent, and treasure are that on which the foundation of God's mission at St. Mark's is built.
